OUR STORY

Hi, my name is Sue and I have been making celebration cakes, cupcakes, biscuits and bakes for family and friends for many years. I originally trained in the hospitality industry and spent the early part of my working career as a chef/catering manager in a number of industrial and/or care home settings. However, having started a family, I wanted a change of direction so trained as a swimming instructor, working with Aquababies, helping babies and children learn to swim. But my love of baking remained and, when the opportunity to reconnect with this long held interest presented itself in February 2017, in addition to my full time employment, I launched my own cake baking business, Humble Bumble Bakes, utilising both the “Mums Bake Cakes” umbrella whilst also operating as an independent, home based, Company. I take health and hygiene very seriously and am registered with the local authority, holding Health & Hygiene Certificate Level 2 Accreditation and following the Food Standard Agency’s guidelines regarding the handling and storage of food.  I source the finest ingredients for my cakes, bakes and biscuits and devote time and attention to quality and detail, priding myself on delivering a high level of customer service. To this end I like to work with my clients to ensure that I always design cakes that compliment their theme, colour scheme and occasion.

From humble beginnings the business continues to grow and we would be delighted if you joined us on our journey.
